Wiesbaden overview

Wiesbaden Travel Guide
Wiesbaden is near to overgrown, noisy neighbour Frankfurt in western Germany amid the busy Rhine Main area. It is a historic spa city and capital of Hesse and is, most notably, a great escape for those not partial to the enormous trade fairs that nearby Frankfurt frequently hosts. Wiesbaden is small, cute and an inherently charming old city with a load of attractive buildings, such as the Kurhaus right in the middle of town; a leisure home with a nice garden. Wiesbaden is also home to the Nerobergbahn water ballast funicular railway; the last of its kind in the country and which can still be ridden. There are spas all about, to boot, including that of the Kaiser-Friedrich Therme in town. You can easily get in from Frankfurt, Mainz or Cologne or Mainz.
