Rothenburg Tauber overview

Rothenburg Tauber is a cute, medieval Bavarian town which features a traffic-free core and lashings of eye-popping buildings along ancient alleys. The Master Builder’s House is one of the main draws, while the town is also home to an array of amazing restaurants loaded with traditional Bavarian dishes. The town sits on the so-called Bavaria Romantic Road between Frankfurt and Munich, meaning getting in and out is easy enough by road or rail. You can easily go from one side of the town to the other, taking in the Market Square, the ancient City Councillors' Tavern, and the old city gates in no time at all, and without having to worry about oversized juggernauts or trams running you down.
