Bremen overview

Bremen Travel Guide
A tour in the town of Bremen will take you to Germany’s most stunning historical buildings, and into the country’s oldest districts and streets. Both UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Bremen’s glorious town hall in Weser-Renaissance style and the towering statue of Roland on its market square are two of the town’s most famous landmarks. Moreover, Bremen’s oldest district, Schnoor, and its bizarre buildings along the lovely little Bottcherstrasse will transport you back to old Germany. Meanwhile, you will be amazed here to find out that the town’s most popular monument is not of a high-profile person, but rather a statue of four farm animals riding piggyback – the donkey, dog, cat and rooster from a Brothers Grimm’s fairytale. For a gourmet-style ambience, try a first-rate cuisine or a glass of classy wine at one of Bremen’s many cafes and restaurants along Schlachte, the attractive promenade that follows Weser River. Just make sure you have deep pockets when dining in Schlachte, as the price of food is quite steep here.
